March was a beautifully busy month for us and life felt like it was moving at an even faster clip than usual (which seems as though it should certainly be impossible). In addition to the normal routine of work/preschool/daycare/activities and the bustle of daily life we did a bit of traveling, too. We took a short weekend road trip to Milwaukee, Simon traveled for work and the girls and I flew on our own to Arizona for spring break where the four of us reunited just in time for Easter. And while I tried my best to take a picture everyday, I just haven’t really been able to maneuver myself into the groove of a 365 this time around. On some days, getting out my camera feels like more than I can manage and on other days I actually forget to do so. And then on “good” days I find myself reaching for it throughout our daily routine, inspired to remember all the little bits and pieces that make up our life. Consequently, I’m really not sure what to call this project now, but really what this practice is named and what rules I’m choosing to follow for how I capture my life are probably not the defining points of this endeavor. Instead, I’ll show you my favorites from March and take comfort and find pride in the continued work of remembering this life for all of us.
Goodness, your month looks spectacular, Catherine! And your car self-portrait is amazing!
