This project was a joint project amongst myself and my daughters. It was inspired by my love of early mornings and soft light and a desire to share a little piece who I am with them--of me as a person and not just as their mother.

I took a series of photos of my experiences of quiet morning light in the summer of 2022. After curating the photos, the three of us wrote captions to describe them. I wrote descriptively and metaphorically, describing what the photos made me think and feel. I asked my daughters only to write what they wanted, to write what they saw, felt or thought about the pictures.

This gallery is the end of result of our work together: each photo followed by three different points of view.
