I LOVE SCHOOL PHOTOS!

As a photographer, my jobs as a school portrait photographer are some of my favorites. I absolutely love working with kids and capturing all of the many faces, expressions and moods that children are so eager to share during a school photo session.

As a mom, I LOVE getting my children’s school photos each year. Whether they’re fancy or not, I think that we as parents treasure these markers of how our children grow and change, year after year.

BUT THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT…

As I gear up to to take my first round of school photos at a local preschool this week, I’ve been thinking a lot about how so many of our children will miss the chance to get school photos taken this fall. And I’d love to help fill that nostalgia sized gap in all your parent-hearts by providing the opportunity for your kids to get school photos done while attending school virtually.

And so I’ll be offering a series of pop-up school photo days at my home to help you capture beautifully emotive, unique and authentic portraits of your children this year. Your children may not be physically going to school, but they can still have a picture day!

WHAT MAKES MY SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY SPECIAL?

I believe that school photography should not be a cookie-cutter experience, but rather an opportunity to showcase and celebrate a child’s personality and individuality with warmth and empathy. When I photograph children I take the time to ask them questions, get them to think and make them laugh. I want to engage with them and not just ask them to say cheese. And by authentically interacting with children with kindness and sensitivity, I am able to provide families with more than just a smiling snapshot of their child.

My approach to school photography gives me the ability to document the dynamic emotional range of each child and my commitment to authenticity allows me to produce photographs of children that are just as unique as they are.

What is the cost?

Each session requires a $10 booking fee which secures your session time in my calendar. This $10 fee can then be applied to any order you choose to place. There is no obligation to purchase anything and there is no minimum order requirement. For more information on pricing just head HERE.

How are you making sure that these sessions are safe for my family?

All sessions will take place outside at my home. I’ll be wearing a mask during your session and will take very cautious social distancing measures during our time together.

If I have more than one child. Can they be photographed together?

Absolutely! Because of COVID I’ve spaced out my session times and so there will be plenty of time during your session to photograph all of your children. Each child will have their own individual photos taken AND I’ll do a set of sibling photos as well.

Please note: Each child will have separate galleries. If you have two children and you want them photographed individually and together you will have a total of three galleries. Galleries will not be combined. The $10 you pay for your sitting fee will be applied back to only one gallery if you decide to place an order.

When can I expect to see my photos?

Photo galleries will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session via a private online gallery. Each gallery will contain 3-6 different photos, in both black and white and color.

How does ordering work?

After your receive your online gallery link(s) you will have 7 days to place your order. Everything is viewed, ordered, and paid online, so there are no paper order forms to keep up with. You will have the option to purchase prints, products, and digital images with printing rights. 

Grandparents and other relatives may also place orders through the digital gallery!
