I had such a wonderful time doing Rachael and Bryan’s maternity photos just days before little baby S was due to arrive (if you’d like to take a peek, you can do so here) and so I was particularly thrilled to be asked to do the newborn photos for baby S as well. One of the biggest pleasures of taking pictures of families is the special window it affords into the growing and changing joy that the big changes and events in life bring to us all. It was such a privilege to be able to capture mom and dad’s excitement and anticipation in their maternity photos and then to document the love and adoration that they so clearly radiated in their little girl’s newborn photos. Weighing just under 5 lbs at birth, little baby S was probably the tiniest newborn I’ve ever met. But her beautiful skin, sweet face and calm, peaceful demeanor were just as remarkable as her tiny size. I hope you are just as cheered by this new family-of-three’s evident happiness as I am!
