Let's do this: scheduling
To find the perfect time for your session, we can have a quick phone call, exchange a few short emails or you can book directly via the link at the bottom of this page.
To book your session you will sign some paperwork and pay a session fee of $150 (for weekday sessions) or $225 (for weekend sessions).
Scheduling a documentary photo session is a little different than planning a more tradition photo shoot. When thinking of a day and time for your session, I encourage you to think about what routines in your daily life feel the most meaningful to you and then plan around those.
Do you have a special Saturday morning pancake and playtime tradition? Do you have a specific dinner, bath time, bedtime routine that you do every evening? Does your family make weekly trips to the farmers' market or regularly go on weekend hikes? Is an afternoon trip to the park and a stop by your local ice cream shop a regular outing for you and your family?
Whatever that really meaningful routine or regular activity might be for your family, I encourage you to try to schedule your session to capture it. I want to photograph you and your family just being yourselves and this is absolute the best way to accomplish that. Early mornings, weekday evenings, trips to state parks--I'm up for it all!

The big day: your Photo session
After you've booked your session, keep an eye on your snail-mail box for a welcome package from me. In it, you'll find all the information you will need to help me make your family's photo session just as unique and amazing as you are.
For our session, you should plan on spending between 2 and 3 hours with me. With the help of my welcome guide and some communication before and after scheduling your session, we'll have already come up with a plan for our time together. So all you'll have to do on photo day is relax, enjoy and, above all, be yourselves.
I specialize in photographing families' real lives. Crying children, messes of toys and books, pajamas for daytime clothing, a camera-shy teenager, overly energetic dogs--I've seen it all and I love it all. This is life how you live it and showing you the beauty of it all as a whole is why I do what I do.
There's something magical about feeling the rhythm of your regular life through the click of a camera. I encourage you to lean in to that feeling and feel the love and meaning that is not-so-subtly hiding beneath the veneer of the ordinary. I promise you'll be amazed by the beauty you see in what feels like the mundane.
You did it: Now comes the best part!
A few weeks after your session, you'll receive an email from me letting you know that your photos are ready to view: hooray! After enjoying the big reveal, you'll let me know which collection you'd like to purchase.
After you've made your purchase choice, you'll have a whole month to choose and download your digital files and to pick out the print products that are the perfect fit for you and your family.
